Most of the times two groups of buildings have emergent need to rehabilitation and retrofit:

The first group is ; built buildings which are intended to be transformed and the second group is buildings which are designed and built based on the old codes and regulations but the manager (master) wants to update the structure according to new standards and regulations and keep it safe from the earthquake.
